NYSMLA GENERAL GUN SAFETY RULES
* Hosting Club's Range Rules apply first.
* Range Officer is in charge and will open and close the range at specified intervals. Relays will be 30 minutes.
* All guns are always considered loaded. Never point your gun at anything other than your target.
* Keep finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target. Only cap off on the firing line.
* Absolutely no open powder or open powder containers on your shooting bench at any time.
* Practice targets will be allowed dependent on range space available, check with range officer.
* Scoring will be center of the ball. Ties will be broken per NMLRA Rules. Numbers of X's, widest shot will lose, 2nd widest shot will lose.
* All targets shots are 5, 6, 10, etc. Not a six shot to get five. It is a five shot target etc!
* All aggregate match targets are to be purchased at the same time that the aggregate is entered. No re-entry for individual match.
* An "Old Timer" is any person who is 60 years of age or older. A "Novice" shooter is any person enjoying their first year of competitive muzzleloading.
* Match 10: Cross Sticks - If you are an "Old Timer" or handicapped, the use of a crate can be used, but no higher than 16 inches. No chair or back.
